Practical Information
Date: February 8-9, 2025

Program for the Teams:
February 8, Saturday
9:00 – 10:30: Pit setup
10:30 – 11:00: Drivers/mentors meeting in Conference hall close to Sport hall
11:00 – 13:00: Inspections and judging, time to fix issues and get reinspected
13:00 – 14:00: Lunch
14:00 – 14:20: Opening
14:20 – 17:00: Matches #1-20
17:30: Venue closes for the night (robots should remain at the venue overnight)
18:00: Gala Party in the city center (information is provided to the teams)
February 9, Sunday
09:00 – 10:00: Pit opens
10:00 – 12:30: Matches #21-40
12:30 – 13:30: Lunch
13:30 – 14:00: Alliance selection
14:00 – 16:00: Playoff matches and Awards
Visitors:
The competition will take place in the sports hall. Only registered teams (members and mentors) and guests with special invitations will be allowed to enter the sports hall. Other visitors can observe the event from the balcony.
Attending Teams:
The event capacity is 20 teams. All spots are taken, and new registrations are not accepted. The list of participating teams is available here.
Inspections:
Individual team schedules will be provided.

Pit Area:
Each pit will include a table and chairs.
Teams are encouraged to decorate their pits with posters and banners to showcase their journey.
Please, bring your own extension cords.
Do not bring any benchtop power tools.
Do not use chemicals in the venue.
Protect the tables and floors from damage caused by tools.
Practice Field:
Two practice fields will be available. Usage will be based on a schedule and monitored.
Catering:
Catering will be available for pre-order and served in the cafeteria at the venue.
Parking:
Free parking is available near the venue or the nearby NORFA shopping center.
Photos/Videos:
Photos and videos will be taken during the event and may be used for publication purposes.
Judging:
Teams will have a 10-minute interview:
5 minutes for the presentation
5 minutes for judge Q&A
Bring your robot and a printed copy of your engineering portfolio.
Safety Information:
Safety glasses are mandatory in the Pit Area and near the playing and practice fields, including for guests.
Teams must bring their own safety glasses, as none will be available on-site.
Long hair must be tied back into a ponytail or bun.
Liability:
Participation is entirely at your own risk. The organizers accept no liability for any direct or indirect damage arising from participation in the FIRST Tech Challenge.

Advancement to the World Championship:
Teams are eligible for the Inspire Award (1st or 2nd place) only when competing within their own region.
The Inspire Award 1st place winner advances to the World Championship.
